KALU IKEAGWU - as
Jerry Ehime
a little under 2 years, Kalu is fast becoming
the darling of Nollywood audiences. Born in England, he
started his early education in Lusaka, Zambia until his
father a university lecturer moved the family back to Nigeria
to get closer to their Nigeria roots.
Kalu caught the acting
bug by chance during a production at the University of
Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN). While at
UNN studying English Literature, he participated in many
campus stage productions including Esiaba Irobi’s “Hangmen
Also Die” and Ola Rotimi’s “Our Husband
has gone Mad Again”. Kalu graduated with a Bachelors
of Arts and left for England in 1993. While in England,
he continued to hone his skills at local community theatres
in London. In June 2004, Kalu returned to Nigeria to
join the ever growing and popular Nollywood film industry.
He has since appeared in several movies and television
series including but not limited to “Darkest Night”,
Mnet’s Doctor’s Quarters and AIT’s
Dominos.
Kalu is sure to please his fans when “30 Days” premieres
in 2006. He plays the role of Newspaper Columnist Jerry
Ehime.
